The new clip follows Hoops’ previous videos for their cover of Prefab Sprout’s “ Cars and Girls,” their second Routines single “ On Top” and “ Cool 2,” off their self-titled 2016 EP, which was their first-ever music video. ![]() To celebrate the impending release of Tapes #1-3, Hoops have shared the video for Routines track “ On Letting Go,” a fuzzy, carefree affair that sees the band performing in what looks like someone’s living room and exploring a peaceful suburban setting. Tapes #1-3 were previously only available via an extremely limited 50-copy cassette tape run, but will now be available digitally, bundled on vinyl and cassette, out Nov. Hoops self-recorded and self-released said tapes before Fat Possum discovered them by way of a YouTube channel created by “Dave Osterman” (aka Hoops’ singer/guitarist Drew Auscherman). Indiana indie-pop act Hoops put out their debut full-length Routines in May, and we now know what’s next for the band: the first-ever vinyl release of early Hoops works Tapes #1-3. ![]()
